Four teenagers have been charged following a series of burglaries and a police car ramming in Melbourne’s north-western suburbs, Victoria Police say.
An unmarked police car pulled into a service station on Pascoe Vale Road in Broadmeadows shortly after 3.30pm yesterday.
It’s alleged that a stolen car has rammed them before driving off.
The vehicle was located abandoned a short time later in nearby Ripplebrook Drive.
Police quickly arrested two males at the scene and a girl within the service station where the ramming occurred.
Follow-up enquiries located a fourth boy later that day at a Roxburgh Park address.
A warrant executed at the 16-year-old boy’s home allegedly located cannabis, a knife, stolen bank cards, a police hat and police lanyards.
The quartet was interviewed in relation to two burglaries and three attempted burglaries in Norwood Drive in Keilor East and Truro Crescent in Keilor Lodge <insert date>.
All items allegedly stolen during the burglaries were located inside the car.
The 16-year-old boy was charged with 14 offences including burglary, attempted burglary, theft of motor vehicle, theft and possess drug of dependence.
He will appear in a children’s court for a remand hearing.
An 18-year-old Roxburgh Park man was charged with 16 offences including reckless conduct endangering serious injury, burglary, attempted burglary and theft of motor vehicle.
He will appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
A 15-year-old Roxburgh Park boy was charged with eight offences including burglary, attempted burglary, theft and theft of motor vehicle.
He was bailed and will appear in a children’s court at a later date.
An 18-year-old Glenroy woman was charged with 10 offences including burglary, attempted burglary and theft.
She was bailed to appear at Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
