Geelong Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a teenager after a woman was struck by an allegedly stolen car in Corio on Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Shepherdson Road around 5.10pm, to reports a Peugeot wagon had lost control and allegedly struck a pedestrian on a mobility scooter.
A 46-year-old Corio woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
It will be alleged the driver of the vehicle, a 17-year-old Corio boy, fled the scene but was arrested a short distance away.
He has been charged with negligently cause serious injury, dangerous driving causes serious injury, accident fail to assist serious injury, accident fail to stop serious injury, drive whilst disqualified, two counts of threat to inflict serious injury and unlawful assault.
He has been remanded to face a children's court at a later date.
