Police are investigating after a teenage girl was seriously injured in a multiple vehicle crash in Sydney's south overnight.
Just after 11.10pm yesterday (Saturday 5 September 2020), emergency services were called to the Princes Highway, Blakehurst, following reports of a multiple vehicle car crash.
Police have been told a Mercedes A45 AMG was driving north near the Tom Uglys Bridge when it allegedly veered onto the wrong side of the road and collided with a Toyota Corolla.
This allegedly caused two other vehicles to be hit, a Mitsubishi SUV and a Land Rover SUV.
The Toyota driver, a 17-year-old girl, was trapped in the vehicle for a period of time before being released.
She suffered leg and internal injuries and was taken to St George Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The Mercedes driver, a 24-year-old man, was arrested and taken under police guard to hospital as a precaution. His passenger, a 22-year-old man, was also taken to hospital as a precaution.
The drivers of both SUVs were uninjured.
The Crash Investigation Unit and officers from St George Police Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
