Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact police after a teenager was sexually assault in Bentleigh East last night., Victoria Police say
Moorabbin Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives are investigating the incident which took place in Greendale Road about 6pm.
A 16-year-old girl was going for an evening walk through Centenary Park and made her way through to Greendale Road.
A man has then grabbed her from behind and sexually assaulted her.
After a brief struggle, the girl managed to break free from the offender and run home.
She was not physically injured in the attack.
Police are appealing with anyone who may have been in the Centenary Park area last night to contact Crime Stoppers.
