Teens Arrested Over Liverpool Knife Incident

Three teenagers will appear in court today (Wednesday 26 June 2024), after being arrested following an alleged incident in Sydney's south.

About 8:40pm yesterday (Tuesday 25 June 2024), police were called to a shopping centre on Macquarie Street, Liverpool, following reports six males were walking through the shopping centre, one brandishing a knife.

Officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command attended and spoke with six males.

During a search of a 15-year-old boy, police allegedly found a knife.

A second 15-year-old and a 17-year-old were also arrested for breach of bail.

All three were taken to Liverpool Police Station.

One 15-year-old boy was charged with custody of knife in public place.

The other 15-year-old and 17-year-old were both charged with breach of bail.

All three were refused bail to appear before a Childrens Court today (Wednesday 26 June 2024).
