Ballina Shire Council wishes to advise there will be lane closures on sections of River Street, Johnson Drive, North Creek Road and Tamarind Drive overnight on Wednesday 5 February and Thursday 6 February 2025.
These temporary lane closures are part of Council's ongoing project to duplicate Fishery Creek Bridge and Canal Bridge and will allow Council's contractor to complete road surface investigations to inform the project design.
These essential works are scheduled overnight to reduce traffic disruptions. Road surface testing work will commence from 8pm each night and continue through to 5am the following morning.
Access to the Boat Ramp at Fishery Creek Bridge will be temporarily closed overnight on Wednesday 5 February and Thursday 6 February 2025.
Traffic will be contra flowed in both directions with the use of traffic control and access to properties will be maintained for local residents.
If further investigation works are required a third night of works will be completed on Friday 7 February 2025.
Traffic control, signage, and variable message boards will be in place to notify motorists of traffic changes.
Council thanks motorists for their patience and understanding during these works.
