Ten Charged in Ongoing Central Station Brawl Probe

Ten people have been charged as investigations continue into a large brawl in Sydney's CBD earlier this month.

About 10.50pm on Saturday 8 February 2025, officers from the Police Transport Command – supported by police from other commands – responded to reports of a fight involving 20 to 30 people in Central Railway Station near the Elizabeth Street entrance.

Police were informed the people allegedly assaulted each other and a number of flares were set off.

The group dispersed prior to police arrival and no injuries were reported.

Officers attached to Police Transport Command North Central commenced an investigation under Strike Force Moonul.

Eight people have since been charged and remain before the courts.

Following an appeal for information, about 10am on Wednesday 19 February 2025, a 25-year-old man attended Campsie Police Station where he was arrested.

He was charged with affray and granted conditional bail to appear before Bankstown Local Court on Tuesday 11 March 2025.

Following further inquiries, a 25-year-old man was arrested by police about 11pm yesterday (Friday 21 February 2025), at Sydney International Airport after arriving on an international flight.

He was taken to Mascot Police where he was charged with affray. He was granted conditional bail to appear in Downing Centre Local Court on Monday 31 March 2025.

A search warrant had been executed on a home on Haig Street, Chatswood, on Monday 17 February 2025, by officers attached to Strike Force Moonul, with a number of items seized for further examination.

As inquiries continue, investigators would like to speak to a person who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man (Person B) is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of thin build with short hair. He is depicted wearing black 'Adidas' shoes with white stripes, blue jeans, and a black T-shirt with white text on the front. He has a tattoo on the right bicep area.
