Tender Awarded To Seal Fleming Road

The Lawler Labor Government has awarded $7.6 million to local Territory business Allan King & Sons Construction to upgrade Fleming Road.

The project will upgrade more than 5 km of unsealed road to sealed road standards with the works including excavation, construction of drainage and culverts as well as rectification of shoulders and sealing of pavements.

Fleming Road is a key access road for the Douglas Daly region and the project will provide better access for local communities and pastoralists.

Works are anticipated to commence in August 2024 and completed in July 2025, with the project supporting 40 employees including 5 Indigenous workers and 3 apprentices.
