The tender for architectural consultants for the Dodges Ferry Primary School redevelopment has been released.
As part of our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future, the Tasmanian Liberal Government has committed $25 million to deliver a major upgrade to Dodges Ferry Primary School.
Minister for Education, Jo Palmer, said the upgrades will deliver new classrooms, modern learning spaces and amenities for both students and staff.
"Our Government is committed to delivering the best possible education facilities to help our learners grow and thrive," Minister Palmer said.
"Architects will be appointed in coming months and will work closely with the Project Working Group, comprising representatives from the school and School Association to progress this exciting project.
"I'd like to thank everyone who took part in the community consultation process. The responses have provided valuable feedback that will be considered by the architects and Project Working Group."
The first phase of school and community consultation closed yesterday, which included workshops with the community, staff and students, as well as an online feedback form.
This feedback will be compiled into a report and will be used to refine the draft master plan and inform the proposed scope of works.
The consultation report will be publicly available on the Department for Education, Children and Young People website before the end of Term 4, 2024.
The Tasmanian Liberal Government has committed $188 million for a School Building Blitz that will deliver upgrades at 15 schools across the state, including Dodges Ferry Primary School.
