This trio will all be forced to catch a lift to their Easter celebrations after their vehicles were impounded as part of Operation Nexus.
Officers impounded a Mercedes after the driver was caught doing more than double the speed limit in Point Cook last night.
Westgate Highway Patrol members allegedly clocked the driver travelling at 126km/h in a 60km/h zone along Sneydes Road about 8.20pm.
The 30-year-old's car (pictured) was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1120 and he can also expect to receive a summons in the mail to appear in court for speeding.
Several hours earlier, a Subaru sedan drew the attention of police when it was clocked doing 100km/h in an 80km/h zone on Robinsons Road, Truganina about 4pm.
Police breath-tested the 38-year-old female driver, who returned an alleged reading of .119.
On top of that, she also allegedly testing positive to methamphetamines.
She will have to pay $980 to have her vehicle released from the impound yard in 30 days, plus will face court charged with traffic offences.
At the other end of town, Fawkner Highway Patrol picked up a suspended learner driver who was allegedly travelling at 55km/h over the speed limit in Campbellfield.
The 18-year-old was allegedly caught driving at 125km/h in a 70km/h zone on Sydney Road about 11.45pm.
The Preston man's Lexus was impounded at a cost of $896.10 and he is expected to be charged with drive while suspended, learner unaccompanied, speed dangerous and state false name.
These impounds form part of Operation Nexus which is a statewide road policing operation targeting impaired driving, speed, distraction, fatigue and seatbelt non-compliance in metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria in an effort to drive down road trauma.
Police could be anywhere, anytime this Easter.
Operation Nexus runs until 11.59pm on Monday 1 April.
