A Narre Warren woman’s weekend turned extraordinary when she discovered her Saturday Lotto numbers had hit the jackpot. Unbeknownst to her until the official call, she was one of thirteen people across Australia who'd won in the latest draw.
Despite the $5 million jackpot being split among an usually high number of winners from Queensland, Victoria, New South Wales, Tasmania, South Australia, and Western Australia, she still managed to pocket a life-changing $401,209.07.
“Is it really true?” she questioned when an official from The Lott called to confirm her prize.
“I can’t believe this. I’m crying, but they’re happy tears.
“The last few years have been difficult, but this is just amazing.
“I’ve been playing the same numbers for years. They’re all family birthdates.
“I can get a new car and help my family. I’m so happy!”
The woman’s marked System 7 entry was purchased at Narre Warren Newsagency & Lotto, 1/34 Webb Street, Narre Warren.
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4509 on 5 October 2024 were 13, 30,18, 24, 27 and 15, while the supplementary numbers were 41 and 26.
Across Australia, there were 13 division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4509 – four each in Queensland and Victoria, two in New South Wales, and one each in Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia.
