Detectives have charged a third man after two men were stabbed in Surry Hills earlier this year.
Officers from Surry Hills Police Area Command established Strike Force Jacob and commenced an investigation after two men – aged 25 and 34 – were allegedly stabbed by a group of men, outside of a nightclub on Oxford Street, Surry Hills on Saturday 29 July 2023.
After initial inquiries, police arrested and charged a 21-year-old man who was extradited from Queensland, and an 18-year-old man at Lalor Park, in September.
Following further inquiries, detectives arrested another 21-year-old man in Sydney CBD, about 7pm on Friday (20 October 2023).
He was taken to Surry Hills Police Station where he was charged with cause wounding/grievously bodily harm with intention to murder, reckless wounding in company, and affray.
He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Saturday 21 October 2023).
Investigations under Strike Force Jacob are continuing.
