Third Man Charged With Affray After Brawl At Bankstown

A third man has been charged following a brawl in Bankstown last month.

About 12pm on Saturday 24 August 2024, police were called to a park on Stacey Street, Bankstown, following reports of a brawl at a junior rugby league game.

Officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command attended and were told several people were involved in an altercation but left the scene before police arrival.

Police commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Last week, two men - aged 39 and 38 - were arrested and charged with affray. They remain before the courts.

Following inquiries, a 36-year-old man was arrested at Bankstown Police Station yesterday (Monday 2 September 2024).

He was charged with affray and granted conditional bail to appear before Bankstown Local Court on Thursday 26 September 2024.
