- McGowan Government awards $668,353 funding boost to WA arts sector
- Arts 15k-plus program supports 13 larger arts projects
- Artforms range from cabaret to visual arts
The McGowan Government has delivered funding for 13 new Western Australian arts projects through the Arts 15k-plus program.
The Arts 15k-plus program provides support for larger arts projects, with up to $60,000 for artists or organisations to deliver a one-off project or series of activities.
The Arts 15k-plus program runs alongside the Arts U-15k (under $15,000) program, which supports smaller opportunities and projects throughout the year.
The program has delivered $1.4 million since July 2022 and allows artists to bring high-quality arts and cultural experiences to new audiences and share Western Australian stories.
As stated by Culture and the Arts Minister David Templeman:
"I am so proud of our arts and culture sector in Western Australia - and the McGowan Government will continue to support its growth and vibrancy.
"The Arts 15k-plus program gives our local artists the chance to work on a new project or program of activities commencing after February 2023.
"These artists and arts organisations will be supported to do what they do best - bringing exciting new ideas to life for us, their audience.
"I am looking forward to seeing the outcomes - and I encourage you to catch these performances when you can."
