Central Goldfields Shire Mayor Cr Chris Meddows-Taylor, who was one of the judges for the project, said choosing the most festive baubles was a difficult decision.
"Congratulations to all the students who entered a bauble into the Thousand Bauble Project. I, along with my fellow judges, were impressed with the quality and creativity that was on display," he said.
Council partnered with Maryborough Police this festive season to present the Thousand Bauble Project.
Local young people were invited to decorate their own Christmas bauble which were displayed on trees around the Shire.
The decorated trees were hosted by local hospitality venues to define their outdoor eating areas during last weekend's Dine Out Goldfields. The decorated trees will also be at tomorrow evening's final Dine Out Goldfields.
