A woman and two men will face court today charged with drug and firearm related offences in Sydney's South West.
In February 2024, Bankstown Region Enforcement Squad established Strike Force Boolarong to investigate the alleged supply of prohibited drugs in the south western Sydney area.
About 9:30am yesterday (Thursday 11 April 2024), investigators executed two search warrants at homes on Gowrie Place, Cabramatta, and Neville Street, Smithfield.
During the search warrants, officers located and seized three allegedly unauthorised firearms, knuckle dusters, various prescription medications, $19500 cash and multiple prohibited drugs including cannabis, methylamphetamine, heroin, methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), ketamine, butanediol, with an alleged total estimated street value of $250,000.
Police arrested a 44-year-old woman and two men, age 39 and 44, who were taken to Fairfield Police Station.
A woman was charged with 16 offences including:
- Supply prohibited drug >= commercial quantity (two counts)
- Supply prohibited drug >small &
- Supply prohibited drug >indictable &
- Possess prohibited drug,
- Organises/conducts/assists drug premises (two counts),
- Possess shortened firearm (not pistol) without authority,
- Possess unauthorised prohibited firearm,
- Possess unauthorised pistol,
- Possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit, and
- Deal with property proceeds of crime
The younger man was charged with possess shortened firearm without authority, possess unauthorised prohibited firearm and found on drug premises.
The older man was charged with found on/entering/leaving drug premises.
All three were refused bail to appear before Fairfield Local Court today (Friday 12 April 2024).
