Three men will appear in court today charged as part of an investigation into the supply of prohibited drugs across Western Sydney.
In July 2022, officers from Penrith Region Enforcement Squad established Strike Force Stickers to investigate the ongoing supply of cocaine and other prohibited drugs across Sydney's western Suburbs.
Following extensive inquiries, investigators, with assistance from North West Metropolitan Region Operations Support Group (OSG), conducted a vehicle stop on Free Settlers Drive, Kellyville, about 1.50pm yesterday (Wednesday 14 December 2022).
The three male occupants – aged 31 and two aged 29 – were arrested at the scene.
Police searched the vehicle and located a cooler bag containing blocks of cocaine, with a total weight of 9.2kg, and an estimated potential street value of $2.3 million dollars.
The men were taken to Castle Hill and Riverstone Police Stations.
Later that day, search warrants were executed at homes in Shalvey, Rooty Hill and Blackett.
During the searches, police seized electronic devices, cash, vehicle keys, luxury goods and other items relevant to the investigation. The items will undergo further examination.
A 29-year-old Rooty Hill man was charged with supply prohibited drug (large commercial quantity), and knowingly direct activities of criminal group.
The 31-year-old Blackett man was charged with supply prohibited drug (large commercial quantity), and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.
The 29-year-old Willmot man was charged with take part supply prohibited drug (large commercial quantity), and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.
The men were all refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today (Thursday 15 December 2022).
