Three men have been charged after 5000 cannabis plants were seized during a search warrant in Sydney's south-west yesterday.
About 9.30am on Thursday 6 February 2025, officers attached to Camden Police Area Command, with the assistance from the South West Regional Enforcement Squad (RES), Police Dog Unit and PolAir, attended a property on Ingleburn Road, Leppington to execute a search warrant.
Three men were arrested nearby. One was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for a dog bite sustained during the arrest.
During a search of the property, officers allegedly located approximately 5000 cannabis plants, believed to be worth an estimated $10 million.
The three men – aged 36, 43, and 39 – were taken to Narellan Police Station.
All three men were charged with found on/entering/leaving drug premises, cultivate prohibited plant more than or equal to large commercial quantity, take part supply cannabis more than indictable and less than commercial quantity and being in charge of an animal fail to exercise care.
The 43-year-old was also charged with an outstanding warrant.
They were refused bail to appear before Picton Local Court today (Friday 7 February 2025).
