Police have charged three teenagers after an extended follow from Pakenham to Elwood yesterday morning.
Officers patrolling in Pakenham spotted the allegedly stolen silver Holden Astra on Bald Hill Road just after midnight.
With the assistance of the Air Wing, Operation Trinity and Operation Compass units, officers followed the Holden along the Monash Freeway and along the Nepean Highway.
Stop sticks were successfully deployed in Brighton East, before the Holden came to a stop a short time later on Glen Huntly Road in Elwood.
The five occupants of the Holden fled on foot, before four teenagers were arrested by the Dog Squad nearby.
A 14-year-old boy from the Port Phillip area has since been charged with theft of motor vehicle, theft from motor vehicle and reckless conduct manner dangerous.
He was remanded and will next appear at a children's court at a later date.
A 15-year-old girl from the Cardinia area has since been charged with theft of motor vehicle and possess cannabis.
She was bailed to appear before a children's court at a later date.
An 18-year-old Pakenham woman has since been charged with theft of motor vehicle.
She was bailed to appear before Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 11 July.
A 17-year-old girl from the Cardinia area was issued a caution.
Police will allege the Holden was stolen from Camberwell on 23 April.
Officers believe one offender remains outstanding, and investigations are ongoing.
