Three Charged Following Bourke Break-In Investigation

Three people will face court following an investigation into a break-in in the state's north-west at the weekend.

About 5.30pm on Saturday (25 May 2024), three people forced entry into a business on Oxley Street multiple times and stole more than 60 parcels.

Once notified, officers from Central North Police District commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Following inquiries, about 12.15pm yesterday (Monday 27 May 2024), police were patrolling Bourke when they sighted two boys aged – 12 and 19.

The pair were arrested and taken to Bourke Police Station.

A short time later police attended a home and arrested a 11-year-old boy, and he was taken to Bourke Police Station.

The two boys, aged 11 and 12, were each charged with aggravated break and enter dwelling in company steal.

They were both refused bail to appear at a Children's court today (Tuesday 28 May 2024).

The 19-year-old was charged with aggravated enter dwelling in company intent to steal, and breach of bail.

He was refused bail to appear at Bourke Local Court today (Tuesday 28 May 2024).
