Two men and a woman have been charged supplying prohibited drugs in the state's Riverina.
In June 2023, Strike Force Guginya was established to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs in Temora.
About 10.30am yesterday (Wednesday 31 January 2024) officers attached to Southern Region Enforcement Squad, with assistance from the Dog Squad, executed a search warrant at an address in Deakin Avenue, Llyod, about 7km, south-east of Wagga Wagga.
Police allegedly located cannabis, methylamphetamine, prescription medication, MDMA and steroids. Electronic devices were seized for forensic examination
A 33-year-old-man and 35-year-old woman was arrested and conveyed to Wagga Wagga Police Station.
The man has been charged with
- supply prohibited drug x8
- possess prohibited drug x2
- supply prohibited drug on an ongoing basis.
The woman has been charged with
- supply prohibited drug x32
- supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis x2
They were refused bail to appear at Wagga Wagga Local Court today (Thursday 1 February 2024).
Following inquiries, about 2pm Tuesday (30 January 2024) officers attached to Southern Region Enforcement Squad, with assistance from the Dog Squad and Riverina Police District executed a search warrant at a licensed premises, which no longer operates, in Hoskins St, Temora.
Police allegedly located and seized methylamphetamine and cash.
A 53-year-old man was arrested and taken to Temora Police Station.
He was charged with supply prohibited drug >indictable & $5000 and sell liquor without a licence.
He was granted bail to appear at Temora Local Court on Wednesday 21 February 2024.
