Three people will appear in court today charged following an investigation into alleged aggravated break and enters in Sydney, under Strike Force Sweetenham.
In December 2024, Strike Force Sweetenham commenced investigations into a number of aggravated break and enter offences at residential and commercial properties across the Sydney metropolitan area, including incidents in Lugarno and Oatley last month.
Following inquiries, yesterday (Thursday 6 February 2025), officers attached to Strike Force Sweetenham, with the assistance of officers attached to the Public Order and Riot Squad, executed search warrants at addresses on Hercules Street, Dulwich Hill, High Street, Mascot and Rowley Street, Eveleigh, seizing electronic devices, property believed to have been stolen, and other items relevant to the investigation.
An 18-year-old man was arrested at the Dulwich Hill, a second man, also aged 18, was arrested near the Mascot address and a 17-year-old boy was arrested at Eveleigh.
All three were taken to Mascot Police Station.
One of the men was charged with 12 counts of aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence and three counts of be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner.
The second man was charged with six counts of aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence, four counts of drive conveyance taken without consent of owner and breach of bail.
They were refused bail to appear before Downing Centre Local Court today (Friday 7 February 2025).
The 17-year-old boy was charged with 10 counts of aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence, two counts of be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner and breach of bail.
He was refused bail to appear before a children's court today (Friday 7 February 2025).
