Three Juveniles Charged, Nerang

Police have charged three juveniles after two alleged stolen vehicles were located at Nerang on September 14.

Around 6.30am, police were called to a business on Hinkler Drive following a report that a Range Rover and a BMW had been parked in the car park since 3.30am.

The informant believed there were young people sleeping in the vehicles.

Upon arrival, officers located two juveniles sleeping in one of the vehicles and both were taken into custody.

A third juvenile fled the scene on foot but returned and was taken into custody.

The BMW had been stolen from Carindale on September 12 and the Range Rover had been stolen from Merrimac on September 13.

A 14-year-old female, a 14-year-old male and 15-year-old male, all from Victoria, have been charged robbery armed/in company/wounded/used personal violence, enter dwelling and intent, unlawful use of motor vehicles aircraft or vessels, fraud – dishonestly make off without paying, enter dwelling and commit, bringing stolen good into Queensland and receiving tainted property.

All three juveniles are due to appear in Southport Childrens Court today, September 16.
