Police have arrested three men and seized several stolen cars following a call to a fast-food carpark in Clayton South this afternoon.
Officers were first called to the Audsley Street carpark following reports three people were seen acting suspiciously in a car about 2.30pm.
A check of the car registration plate identified the car as stolen before police coordinated their response.
Moorabbin, Chelsea, Cheltenham, Mordialloc and Caulfield police responded, as well as detectives from Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit, and arrested the trio - all aged 30.
Two parked cars, either side of the stolen vehicle, were also confirmed as stolen.
The two Mazda CX5's and a Toyota Prado were seized after a search of the vehicles uncovered a knife, high powered laser, quantity of prescription medications and alleged methylamphetamine and property suspected as stolen.
The men, from Endeavour Hills and Springvale, are currently in custody and will be interviewed by detectives.
