A further three people have been arrested following an alleged brawl at a Central Coast shopping centre earlier this month.
About 7pm on Thursday 11 July 2024, police were called to a shopping centre on Bay Village Road, Bateau Bay, following reports a group of young people were allegedly brawling in a food court.
Officers attached to Tuggerah Lakes Police District attended; however, the group had left the scene.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
Following inquiries, two men - aged 18 and 20 - were charged with affray at Wyong Police Station on Monday 22 July 2024. Both men remain before the courts.
Following further inquiries, police executed search warrants at two Central Coast properties yesterday (Tuesday 23 July 2024).
As a result, an 18-year-old man was arrested in Killarney Vale and taken to Wyong Police Station where he was charged with affray and armed with intent to commit indictable offence.
He was refused bail to appear before Wyong Local Court yesterday (Tuesday 23 July 2023), where he was granted strict conditional bail to appear before the same court on Wednesday 14 August 2024.
A short time later, a 16-year-old boy was arrested at Wyong Police Station, and was dealt with under the Young Offenders Act.
About 11am today (Wednesday 24 July 2024), a 17-year-old boy attended Wyong Police Station where he was placed under arrest and charged with affray.
He was also charged with aggravated robbery in company, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of other(s), in relation to a separate matter.
He was granted strict conditional bail to appear before Wyong Local Court on Wednesday 21 August 2024.
