Three teenage boys will appear in court today charged with murder following a fatal stabbing in Sydney's west last week.
About 3.40pm on Friday (12 April 2024), emergency services were called following reports two teenagers had allegedly been stabbed on Power Street, Doonside.
Before police attended, two males – aged 18 and 19 – presented to Blacktown Police Station with stab wounds.
They were treated by officers until the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, the 18-year-old died at the scene. The 19-year-old was taken to Westmead Hospital where he underwent surgery and has since been discharged.
Officers from Blacktown PAC with assistance from State Crime Command's Homicide Squad commenced an investigation into the incident under Strike Force Cooey.
Following inquiries, two boys – aged 16 and 17 – were charged and remain before the courts.
As part of ongoing investigations, three boys – two aged 15 and a 16-year-old – were arrested after attending Blacktown Police Station about 12am today (Wednesday 17 April 2024).
They have each been charged with murder and cause wounding/grievous bodily harm to person with intent to murder.
They have all been refused bail to appear at a children's court today.
