Kiama Council thanks everyone who participated in our Australia Day celebrations on Friday (26 January).
Thanks to the Kiama Downs Surf Life Saving Club for hosting our traditional ceremony.
Thanks especially to Aunty Lila Stewart, Richard Scott-Moore for the Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony, as well as the Djaadjawan Dancers for their hugely popular performance.
Thanks also to Bruce Elder for a thoughtful Australia Day Address.
Council congratulates our new citizens, who became our newest Australians.
Lastly, our thanks to those who organised our community barbeques and activities at Jamberoo and Werri Beach.
