The countdown to the world's biggest footy festival has already begun, with the National Rugby League (NRL) today releasing general public tickets for NRL Magic Round Brisbane 2024, flavoured by Shapes.
The three-day feast of footy, music, food and fun returns to Suncorp Stadium on May 17-19 (Round 11).
Three-day passes start from just $99 for adults and $269 for families.
"NRL Magic Round has become a massive hit with fans each season," NRL CEO Andrew Abdo said. "There is a festival atmosphere all weekend, with a focus on football, fun and families.
"Brisbane will take centre stage as new rivalries will be formed alongside the most unique atmosphere in Australian sport, with fans of all ages enjoying the celebration.
"In 2024, fans will also be treated for the first time to the opening match of the Ampol Women's State of Origin on the Thursday night prior to the Premiership matches.
"Magic Round 2024 will be our biggest yet."
NRL Magic Round will kick off with Canberra Raiders against the Bulldogs - including celebrations around 30 years since the 1994 Grand Final between the teams.
There will be blockbuster match-ups and Queensland interest on all three days, beginning with the traditional headline clash between Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles and Brisbane Broncos on Friday night.
Saturday's triple header includes Des Hasler's Gold Coast Titans facing Newcastle Knights, Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks playing Sydney Roosters and South Sydney Rabbitohs clashing with North Queensland Cowboys.
On Sunday, the Warriors face Premiers Penrith Panthers in a blockbuster opening for the day, followed by the might of Melbourne Storm against Parramatta Eels, before Magic Round closes with Wests Tigers-Dolphins.
Magic Round Brisbane is supported by the Queensland Government, via Tourism and Events Queensland, together with Brisbane City Council, via Brisbane Economic and Development Agency.
Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said the blockbuster event next May would be a highlight on city's sporting calendar, attracting fans from across the country.
"This homegrown throwdown gets bigger and better each year as more fans flock to Brisbane for a spectator experience like no other," Cr Schrinner said.
"Brisbane was named Australia's top sporting city this year and events like this reinforce that title.
"We look forward to welcoming sell-out crowds that will fill our hotels, dine in our restaurants and enjoy our tourism experiences, delivering millions in economic benefit to Brisbane."
Three-day passes can be purchased now through nrl.com/tickets. Single day tickets will go on sale from December 13.
