Stage 1 of the Trestle Estate housing subdivision in Timboon is now on the open market.
The lots, on Corangamite Shire Council land, range in size from 485-800sq m with prices from $170,000-$220,000.
For the first 90 days the preferential access was given to prospective buyers who would provide accommodation for much needed workers in agriculture, forestry and fishing and other industries vital to the Shire's economy.
That period has ended and the lots are now on the open market.
Corangamite Shire Council Manager Planning and Building Services Aaron Moyne said site clearing works had been completed.
"We have relocated an old house and removed a fence and some vegetation along Curdies Road," Mr Moyne said.
"Individual lot sales signs with their respective lot number and lot sizes have been installed at the front of each lot."
The tender for the civil construction works closed on Friday 14 June.
They will now be assessed and a report will be presented to Council at its Council Meeting recommending the tender be awarded to the successful contractor.
Corangamite Shire Mayor Kate Makin said the innovative development was a great opportunity to embrace the lifestyle of a vibrant, welcoming community.
"Timboon's popularity is no surprise given its prime location between in beautiful countryside withing range of a number of regional centres.
"It has a P-12 school and hospital and is only a stone's throw from the spectacular Great Ocean Road.
"With diverse job opportunities, and the amazing gourmet food artisans, it's a fantastic place to come and live."
