Today is Remembrance Day - we will remember them

On 11 November 1918, the guns fell silent on the Western Front after more than four years of battle. An armistice was signed that ended fighting between Germany and the Allies, bringing the close to the First World War at 11am.

Each year, at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month, a minute's silence is observed to remember the men and women who died or suffered for Australia's cause in all wars and armed conflicts.

Lest we forget.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them.
