A Batesford teenager is expected to be charged on summons after he was allegedly caught doing more than twice the speed limit in Bannockburn this evening, Victoria Police say.
Geelong Highway Patrol officers detected a Ford utility travelling east on Geelong Road near Inverlochy Drive at 139km/h in a 60km/h zone about 6pm.
Police intercepted the vehicle immediately.
An 18-year-old P plate driver is expected to be charged on summons at a later date with speed dangerous and other traffic-related offences.
It is also expected that police will impound the man’s car at a later date.
