The Toowoomba Region is all set to celebrate 2025 Queensland Youth Week with a series of exciting events to be held right across the region.
Young people aged 12-24 are encouraged to get involved with Toowoomba Regional Council's (TRC) Youth Connect group set to deliver a full week of free events for young people.
2025 Queensland Youth Week will be held in the first week of Easter School holidays from 6-12 April.
Events will include 'ParkFest' to be held in Meringandan on April 7, Crows Nest on April 8, Oakey on April 9, Clifton on April 10 and Millmerran on April 11, 'Y2K Rewind Party' to be held at Highfields Cultural Centre on April 7 and Pittsworth Town Hall on April 10 and a 'Dungeons and Dragons' Day to be held at the Empire Theatre on April 5.
Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) portfolio spokesperson for Youth Development Councillor James O'Shea said Queensland Youth Week was an opportunity to recognise the talents, achievements and contributions of young people.
"Youth Week isan annual, week-long celebration held in early April, organized by young people for young people in communities across Australia, focusing on empowering youth and celebrating their contributions.
"It's a great opportunity to encourage young people to explore their interests, develop their talents and connect with their communities.
"The program of events right across the region for 2025 looks exciting and I encourage young people to get involved as these events are free and a great way to spend some time with other young people during the first week of Easter school holidays," Cr O'Shea said.
