The Canberra Day long weekend is here (10-13th March) and what better way to celebrate than at one of Canberra's most popular picnic spots?
Google searches for "picnic near me" spiked by more than 5000 per cent in the last 30 days while searches for "picnic places near me" also jumped 170 per cent, new data shows.
In response, food box delivery company EveryPlate compiled a list of Australia's Most Popular Picnic Locations and three Canberra spots made the top 20. The rankings were compiled by analysed tagged locations on Instagram.

Unsurprisingly Corin Forest made the top 10 list of picnic spots with 11,900 Instagram posts, shortly followed by Gibraltar Falls in the ACT which amassed more than 11,200 posts. Wombat Hill, Daylesford came in at 17, with over 1,000 posts.
