Torrens University Australia has teamed up with the Australian Institute of Office Professionals (AIOP) to provide educational pathways for AIOP's members to upskill and future proof their careers.
AIOP members will have access to Torrens University's undergraduate and post graduate courses, Smart Skills Digital Badges and range of short courses, enabling them to develop and evolve their skills in response to the swiftly changing digital landscape. Concurrently, Torrens University staff and students are encouraged to actively engage as members of AIOP's vibrant professional community.
Torrens University's Chief Marketing Officer and head of Industry Partnerships, Darryn Melrose said the collaboration would contribute to the professional development and success of both AIOP members and Torrens University staff and students.
"The reciprocal relationship between Torrens University and AIOP offers both AIOP members, and our staff and students, access to a range of resources, networking opportunities and pathways to education and training that can bolster their career development and progression," said Mr Melrose.
AIOP members include administrative professionals from entry level to executive management and represent a diverse range of industries and roles which include managers, executive/personal assistants, team leaders, project officers, paralegals and administrative support staff.
AIOP National President Heather Batchelor FAIOP said the collaboration would give our members an additional pathway to education and that they looked forward to welcoming Torrens University staff and students into the association.
"Our aim is to raise the profile of the profession across the business community, accelerating the professional and personal development of our members," said Ms Batchelor.
"We hope that our members and staff and students at Torrens University will explore the myriad of opportunities made possible by this exciting collaboration."
