Tourism Council WA has welcomed today's announcement of Hon Roger Cook MLA as the new Tourism Minister.
Tourism Council WA CEO Evan Hall said tourism was a great fit alongside the other economic portfolios of state development, commerce, jobs and trade.
"The appointment of a senior Minister to the tourism portfolio and the alignment with other economic portfolios is welcome as Western Australia reopens, reconnects to the world, and builds its visitor economy," Mr Hall said.
