Town Centres Get Spring Makeover

As the days grow longer and warmer, the City of Canada Bay is celebrating the arrival of spring by refreshing our streets, parks, and gardens with vibrant new flower plantings. This initiative is designed to enhance the beauty of the area, create inviting public spaces, and contribute to the overall wellbeing of residents and visitors alike.

From vibrant red begonias in hanging baskets on Great North Road in Five Dock to a mixture of white primulas and common blue violas in Drummoyne, our town centres have been transformed with an array of colourful blooms.

City of Canada Bay General Manager John Clark said the spring planting program is part of Council's ongoing commitment to creating a welcoming, green environment for all to enjoy. 'This year's plantings will brighten up our local hubs. It's a small but meaningful way we can promote community wellbeing and pride in our public spaces,' he said.

Our Garden Services Team has selected flower varieties that thrive in the area's climate, ensuring a long-lasting display throughout the season. Make sure to visit our local parks and enjoy the display as you stroll along the City's flower-lined streets.
