All aboard for a jam-packed afternoon of family friendly fun when the Tracks festival steams into Timboon.
The third annual event will run from 2-6 pm on Saturday 2 April at the old railway precinct.
It will be a great opportunity for music lovers from across the South West to shake their caboose and go a little loco.
Corangamite Shire Council South West Ward Councillor Kate Makin invited everyone from the Shire and beyond to come and enjoy the free event.
"Bring your deck chairs or picnic rugs and settle in for a fantastic afternoon of live entertainment," Cr Makin said.
"There will be music by singer songwriter Heidi Gass, Louie and the Melways, Rhiz & The Sugarplums and The Not Dead Yet Band.
"It will be a great opportunity to get out, meet up with friends and just have a good time."
Cr Makin said food and drink would be available so the crowd could have a stress-free dinner in the park.
"There will be a pizza van, Twisto's potatoes, Jet's dumplings & 3M Catering for hot drinks and delicious treats," she said.
"Keayang Maar Vineyard and Sow and Piglets Brewery will also be on site to provide the drinks for responsible adults. So round up your friends and come on down to enjoy the show."
The artists:
Heidi Gass
Singer songwriter extraordinaire, Heidi Gass has established herself as a headline performer on both national and international stages and now has many leading industry figures performing her work. Heidi's ability to craft her songs and weave unexpected but beautiful movement into her music are truly unique. The 2021 ARIA award nominee brings music to life with her smooth, melodious, spirited and soulful vocals, self-accompanied through her talent on the keyboard and guitar.
Louie and the Melways
Louie and the Melways are a collective of well-known South West musicians performing a broad range of pop, rock, country and blues covers that are a little left of centre.
Led by the powerhouse vocals of Louise Clancey and supported by the musical stylings of John Hudson (guitar and vocals), Barry Galbraith (drums), and Brady Cassidy (bass guitar), Louie and the Melways are set to entertain the 2022 Tracks Festival and leave the audience with a happy, feel-good vibe.
Rhiz & The Sugarplums
Rhiz and The Sugarplums are a four-piece combo playing everything from 50's-style rockabilly, to Western swing and old-school rock'n'roll. The band plays infectious roots music grooves alongside beautiful nostalgic ballads, presenting a nostalgic show that's hard to resist.
The Not Dead Yet Band
The Not Dead Yet Band plays classic rock from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. Timboon residents will recognise local singer and guitarist Lilli Van Donk and former local John Currell on guitar. The band also has Derrinallum drummer Rosie Pemberton, Ballarat guitarist Paul Ballinger and two Nick Coles from Bookaar on guitar/vocals and bass respectively.
