Traffic Counts In Morisset And Surrounds - 10

Lake Macquarie City Council

We're carrying out traffic surveys at various points in Morisset to help inform future planning.

What work are we doing?

We have engaged contractors to carry out the work, which will provide Council and Transport for NSW with a better understanding of traffic and pedestrian movements around Morisset to assist with future planning.

Work will include installing tube traffic counters and cameras at multiple locations on roads in Morisset town centre, Mandalong, Cooranbong and Bonnells Bay.

These traffic counts will supplement previous counts undertaken by Transport for NSW in Morisset.

When and where we'll be working

We will be working on Tuesday 10 June to install equipment, weather permitting.

Cameras will be in place for one day and tube traffic counters will be in place for one week.

All survey equipment will be removed by Wednesday 18 June, weather permitting.

A map is included to show the investigation area where the traffic counts will be carried out.

What will this mean for you?

The work will cause no disruption to your property.

You may notice workers in high-vis clothing, using lighting to carry out the work.

Workers will park kerbside to install and remove cameras (which should take no longer than 15 minutes) on street poles.

Tube counters will generate some noise. To minimise these impacts, we will complete investigations in the shortest possible time frame

Driveway access will be maintained at all times. Thank you for your patience during this important work.
