Traffic Crash Appeal, Bridgeman Downs

Police are appealing to the driver of a vehicle to come forward after a boy was seriously injured in a crash at Bridgeman Downs overnight.

Preliminary investigations indicate just before 8pm, a stolen black Hyundai I30 was travelling north on Beckett Road before it crashed into a sign at the intersection with Albany Creek Road.

The driver fled the scene on foot and has not been located.

The passenger, a 15-year-old boy, was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Witnesses have reported the vehicle was travelling at high speeds prior to the crash.

The black Hyundai I30 bearing Queensland registration 905HO2 was reported stolen from a Lawton address on Monday, July 1.

Anyone who saw the vehicle travelling on Beckett Road prior to the crash, or has relevant vision are urged to contact police.
