Police are investigating after two men were seriously injured when a crane rolled over in Mareeba this morning.
Emergency services were called to Mareeba Dimbulah Road around 9.30am where they located the mobile crane overturned with two men inside.
A 52-year-old man was airlifted to Cairns Base Hospital with serious injuries while a 38-year-old man was transported to Mareeba Hospital, also with serious injuries.
The Mareeba Dimbulah Road remains closed with a diversion in place via Chettle Road while police conduct investigations and the crane is removed.
It is understood that some road repairs will also be necessary.
