Traffic Crash Public Appeal At Beenleigh

Police are appealing for public assistance as part of an investigation into a traffic crash at Beenleigh on Thursday night, January 16.

Investigations indicate around 11.30pm, a blue Triumph motorcycle and a dark blue Volkswagen Passat station wagon crashed on the Pacific Highway.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 32-year-old female from Tallebudgera, sustained serious leg injuries and was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital.

The driver of the Volkswagen, a 45-year-old Shailer Park man, failed to stop at the scene and was intercepted by police in Coomera. He was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital.

The Forensic Crash Unit is appealing for witnesses and anyone with relevant dashcam or CCTV vision, particularly the movements of the station wagon travelling southbound on the Pacific Highway prior to the crash, to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
