The popular Australian travel series, Travel Guides returns in 2021 for an all-Aussie event series with an outback adventure through the Red Centre with the guides visiting Alice Springs, Kings Canyon and Uluru.
Broadcast on Nine and 9Now, the series features a group of ordinary Australians who take on the job of travel critics reviewing accommodation, cuisine and local sights.
In Alice Springs the guides experience a stay at Crowne Plaza, visit the Transport Museum Hall of Fame, visit the family run Earth Sanctuary World Nature Centre and enjoy a surprise performance at Monte's Lounge.
The guides then hit the road for a self-drive tour to Kings Canyon where they experience camping at Kings Creek Station as well as the Kings Canyon Rim Walk.
The final destination is Uluru, with the guides heading to Voyages Ayres Rock Resort for a luxury stay at Sails in The Desert as well as enjoying a Segway tour around Uluru, cultural workshops and a fine dining experience under the stars at Sounds of Silence/Tali Wiru.
Territorians can tune in to watch Travel Guides on Channel 9 or Imparja tomorrow, Wednesday 27 January at 7:30pm to catch all the action and start planning their own NT adventure by visiting www.northernterritory.com.au
Quotes from Executive General Manager Marketing Tourism NT, Tony Quarmby:
"To have the Red Centre featured across the nation is fantastic and will provide a much needed awareness boost to the Territory's tourism operators, accommodation providers and local businesses alike.
"With the NT Summer Sale driving interstate bookings to the NT, as well as Territorians undertaking more self-drive holidays, it's great to be featured front and centre to promote a holiday here this year across the nation."
