TRC Seeks Input on Crows Nest Dog Off-Leash Area

Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) is seeking community feedback for a proposed fenced dog off-leash area at Crows Nest.

The community survey is open until Sunday, September 15, 2024.

TRC Parks and Recreation Services portfolio spokesperson Cr Tim McMahon said the proposal for a designated area would give dog owners a place to train, socialise and exercise their pets off-leash.

"Through our planning report, Dog Off-Leash Areas and Restricted Areas - Future Planning in the Toowoomba Region, Council has identified the growing need for a fenced dog off-leash area at Crows Nest," Cr McMahon said.

"We wish to confirm that the community would like a fenced dog off-leash area, and in which location. We want to hear the community's preference for either the Dale Street Park or Skelly Recreation Reserve before we proceed further with this project.
