Community groups and organisations can apply for a Nillumbik Triennial Festival and Event Program 2026-2029 grant until Sunday 1 June.
Grant funding is available to support exciting and diverse events that strengthen community connection and drive economic growth in the Shire.
The program is designed to support not-for-profit events within Nillumbik that attract both local and non-local attendees.
Grants range from $10,000 to $65,000 per annum for events held over a three year period.
Mayor John Dumaresq encouraged applications for new and innovative events.
"Each year, our community enjoys a fantastic calendar of festivals and events that bring people together and celebrate what makes Nillumbik so special," Cr Dumaresq said.
"With the Triennial Festival and Event Program, we want to encourage fresh and exciting event ideas that will attract visitors and enhance our Shire's reputation as a must-visit destination."
Applicants are encouraged to attend an information session to gain insight into the application process, selection criteria, and assessment details. Council staff will be available to answer questions and provide tailored guidance.
The in-person information session will be held on 30 April from 11am-12.30pm at Diamond Valley Library.
For those who cannot attend, an online webinar information session will be held on 30 April from 7pm-8.30pm via Microsoft Teams.
Registration for both events is required as limited spaces are available.
