Trio Charged, Firearms Seized in Grays Point Raid

Three people have been charged and two firearms have been seized following a police operation in Sydney's south overnight.

About 7.50pm yesterday (Thursday 27 February 2025), officers from Sutherland Shire Police Area Command were called to North West Arm Road, Grays Point, following reports a vehicle alleged to have been stolen was sighted.

Upon arrival, police located the vehicle outside a home and a man, aged 26, who refused to exit the property.

Following negotiations, the man left the home and was arrested without incident before being taken to Sutherland Police Station.

A crime scene was established.

A short time later, a 46-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman – who were also in the home at the time of the incident – were arrested outside the premises, and also taken to Sutherland Police Station.

Following a search of the property, police located and seized two firearms, three safes and methylamphetamine.

The 26-year-old man was charged with drive motor vehicle during disqualification period and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm.

The 48-year-old man was charged with possess unauthorised prohibited firearm, supply prohibited drug, and possess prohibited drug.

The 40-year-old woman was charged with possession of equipment for administering prohibited drug and possess prohibited drug.

The men were both refused bail to appear before Sutherland Local Court today (Friday 28 February 2025), and the woman was granted conditional bail to appear before the same court on Thursday 27 March 2025.
