Police have arrested three men after an extended follow through Melbourne's East on 16 April.
Officers caught sight of a silver Mercedes Coupe travelling erratically and at speed in the vicinity of Montpellier Road in Burwood about 3.30am.
Police attempted to intercept the Mercedes and the vehicle took off.
With the assistance of Airwing, police on the ground kept their distance and followed the Mercedes throughout Ashwood and Burwood.
The offenders dumped the vehicle in Livingstone Close in Burwood and fled the scene on foot.
Shortly after, police arrested three men nearby.
A 30-year-old Ringwood East man, a 31-year-old Warrandyte man and a 24-year-old Ashwood man are assisting police with enquiries.
An investigation remains ongoing.
