Truck And Pedestrian Collision In Richmond

Melbourne Highway Patrol officers are investigating after a pedestrian was hit by a truck in Richmond this morning.

Emergency services were called to reports of a collision involving a truck and a pedestrian at the intersection of Bridge Road and Church Street about 10.20am.

The pedestrian, a 35-year-old Richmond man, was transported to hospital where he remains with life-threatening-injuries.

The driver and sole occupant of the truck, a 45-year-old Seaford man, was not injured.

He has spoken to police regarding the collision and was released pending further enquiries.

The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.
