Horrocks Pass Road is closed to all traffic after a truck fire at Nectar Brook this morning.
Emergency services responded to reports of a truck fire on Horrocks Pass Road, Nectar Brook about 10.15am on Wednesday 22 March.
Fortunately, the truck driver managed to escape injury and there were no other vehicles involved.
CFS crews contained the fire but the prime mover was completely destroyed.
The fire is believed to have been caused by a mechanical failure.
Horrocks Pass Road is expected to remain closed to all traffic between the Augusta Highway and Wilmington for several hours while crews work to clear the scene.
Motorists are advised to take an alternate route via the PIchi Richi Pass or the Augusta Highway.
