TSU Sports Club Hosts Courage, Honor, Glory Contest

The Sports Club of Tomsk State University invites students and employees of the Big University of Tomsk, as well as children from 10 years old to take part in the competition "Courage, Honor and Glory" dedicated to the Defender of the Homeland Day. The competitions will include several Ready for labor and defense disciplines, shooting from an electronic gun, as well as phygital streetball. The competitions will be held on Sunday, February 23 at TSU sports center.

2025 has been declared the Year of the Defender of the Homeland by the President of Russia. Throughout the year particular focus will be put on the history of the Russian army, heroic deeds of the Great Patriotic War and modern heroes. TSU will also hold some events confined to the Year of the Defender of the Homeland, one of which is the sports festival "Courage, Honor and Glory".

- On behalf of the TSU Sports Club, I would like to invite all students, employees of the Big University of Tomsk and even the youngest residents of the city to join our festive competitions dedicated to the Year of the Defender of the Homeland and celebration of the Defender of the Homeland Day. On these days we honor courage, bravery and devotion to our Homeland. There is no better way to show these qualities than during sports events, said Anatoly Moiseenko, head of the TSU Sports Club.

The competition will be held on February 23 at TSU Sports Center. The program includes several disciplines - shooting from an electronic gun, standing long jump, mobility exercises, pull-ups, phygital streetball and much more.

The sports festival will start at 10:00 am. All participants need to register either before the competition or online . Please take your student card (for students only), sports uniform and shoes.

Moreover, Tomsk State University launched a special page on its website devoted to the 80thanniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. There you can find archival materials - memories of the war participants, letters and personal stories of those who worked in the rear for the sake of the Victory.
