Construction of a new footpath along Tulloch Street in Dalyston will get underway this month.
Bass Coast Shire Council is completing this $100,000 project, which will see a new footpath constructed along Tulloch Street, between the Bass Highway and Bent Street.
Work will start by Friday, 21 January and is expected to take around eight weeks to complete.
The aim of this project is to improve access for pedestrians and provide a safe connection to existing footpath network.
Earthworks to remove vegetation, grass and top soil and minor drainage works at the intersection with Back Lane will be required for the construction of the new footpath.
Appropriate traffic/pedestrian measures will be in place for the duration of the works.
The works will include the use of large plant and machinery and might be noisy at times. Council understands that these works may present an inconvenience to nearby residents and appreciates their patience during these times. The contractor will make every effort to minimise disruptions during construction.
